This research analyzes bureaucratic transformation by optimizing village officials in Gorontalo Regency. Based on the gap results, this study aims to analyze how optimizes role of providing public services. The academic interest is contribute new knowledge field, especially through officials. In addition, practical importance also quite significant, where can guide local governments and related stakeholders regarding strategies concrete actions that be taken improve quality services, efficiency, responsiveness community needs. uses simple descriptive statistics processed using Nvivo 12 plus application. government want renewal or structure apparatus. findings field are conducts competency mapping conducting Computer Assisted Test (CAT) tests. test results showed 2089 participants who took part selection, only 179 people were ineligible, 50 did not take test, while those passed selection amounted 1860. bureaucracy was carried out three steps, namely increasing capacity officials, simplifying administrative procedures, strengthening supervisory system. simplification procedures reduce excessive speed up Strengthening system plays an important improving accountability transparency.
